About the Artist

Lindsey Hopkins, LinHopArt, is a mixed media and collage artist whose vibrant, textured creations capture the playful spirit of childhood and the natural world. Drawing since the moment she could hold a crayon, Lindsey’s artistic journey has always been fueled by an innate curiosity and love for creating.

After graduating from SCAD (B.F.A. Painting,  '08), Lindsey primarily worked with paint but began exploring mixed media, leading to the bold colors and intricate textures in her more current work. Her artistic practice extends beyond the canvas—she enjoys hand sewing and sculpting with clay, incorporating various materials into her work to evoke a rich tactile experience.

Her pieces often feature botanical imagery, reflecting her deep connection to nature, but also venture into the realm of abstraction, exploring the interplay between structure and spontaneity. Lindsey’s work is inspired by the uninhibited sense of play that children exhibit when they begin to create—an approach she cherishes as both an artist and educator.

Lindsey’s original art and prints are available for purchase in person at Artspace Macon, where she also teaches a range of art techniques to students of all ages, encouraging them to explore their artistic voices in a supportive environment.
